The Treasurer Reported, that William Hussey< no role > , and John
Janes
< no role > , Esquire ; the Executors of the late Clark Winchester< no role > , Esqre .
had transferred £1,747..13..6., 3 PCent, Reduced Annuities,
for the use of Bethlem Hospital; being one twentieth part
of the Testator's Personal Estate, the whole of which, he
devised to twenty of the most Public Charities, or Charitable
Institutions, in and about the Metropolis, at the discretion
of his Executors.

Nomd. as Govrs.


Ordered, that the Thanks of this Court: be communicated
to Mr. Hussey and Mr. Janes, for their charitable and kind
attention to Bethlem Hospital, and that they be put in
nomination as Governors.

Ordered, that the consideration of the above
Nominations be referred to the House Committee.

Vacancy of Office of;
declared.


At this Court the President declared the vacancy
of a Matron of Bethlem Hospital, on the Death of Mrs.
Mary White< no role > .

The Minutes of a Special Committee at Bethlem
Hospital, convened by the Treasurer, on Thursday the 20th.
September, Instant, upon the Vacancy of a Matron; to
consider what has been, or ought to be the Duties and
Salary; were read and confirmed; whereby it appeared,

That the Committee were of Opinion, that the
Office of a Matron of Bethlem Hospital, is highly
important, and necessary, and having particularly
examined, the several Medical Officers, and Steward,
as to the requisite Duties of a Matron;
Were of Opinion, that those already stated in the
Printed Book of Rules and Orders, Pages 45, and 46
