Continued Thursday the 28th April 1796
"present Steward into that Office, as stated in the Report of the said
"Joint Committee a net Salary of £200 per Annum be paid to the
"present Steward of which £150 per Annum part thereof shall be
"charged to Bridewell and the remaining £50 per Annum to Bethlem
"Hospital and that the said Salary of £200 shall be in lieu of
"the Ancient Salary of £100 Per Annum and £42 Per Annum
"for Keeping the Accounts of both Hospitals hither to paid to the
"Steward"
The Minutes of the Committee of Auditors of the 30th March and
8th April were read and confirmed whereby it appeared
That the Committee had Audited the Accounts of both Hospitals
and signed them also their Annual Report and that the Sums
which were in the Hands of the different Officers amounted to
£3770-15-42
The following Report from the Committee of Auditors was then
read
In pursuance of the fourth standing Rule and Order for the
Goverment of these Hospitals We your Committee of Auditors
whose names are hereunto subscribed Do Certify that we have
Audited and Examined the General Accounts of both Hospitals
for one Year from the 31st of December 1794 to the 31st December
1795 and find and allow the same to be just And that it
appears by the Bridewell Ledger folie 235 that there has
been received within the period above mentioned
