Continued Thursday 4th February 1796

"to the Court

"That no Governor continue upon any Committee more than
"three Years

"That no Governor be elected a Second time upon any Committee
"till all the other Governors resident within ten Miles of London
"shall have served in regular rotation or have declined to Serve
"nor any Governor but the presiding Officer be a member of two
"Committees at the same time"

And had Resolved that a Gratuity of Ten Guineas
each be paid to Thomas Edis< no role > and Edward Russell< no role > two of the
Keepers who have each a Wife and four Children. And that
three Guineas be given to William Copeland< no role > an Assistant Keeper
who is married but has no Children

Rules Etc Orders.

It was then Resolved that the recommendation of the Committee
respecting the Alteration in the 38th. 4th. and 5th standing Rules and Orders
be taken into consideration at the two neat General Courts

At this Court Edward Stephenson< no role > of Queen Square Esqr was nominated
by Rowland Stephenson< no role > Esqr and Thomas Templeman< no role > by Samuel Brandram< no role >
Esqr. to be Governors of these Hospitals and the charge was read to William
Bleamire
< no role > and Sutton Sharpe< no role > Esqr.

Resolved that the Consideration of the above Nominations be referred
to the House Committee

Steward of Bridewell
Salary & Allow for
Supplying Prisoners
to be Considered by the
Ho:& Prison Commees

Resolved That it be referred to the House and Prison Committees to
consider and Report to the neat General Court whether the Salary and
allowance for suppling the Prisoners with provisions now paid to the Steward
of Bridewell be adequate to the present duties of his Office and the increased
price of provisions
