in the Papers that the Committee would meet on Wednesday
the 8th June to receive proposals for the same

The Treasurer reported he had received for the use of both
Hospitals a benefaction of £50 from

four Guineas from the Bishop of Norwich and the Reverend
Dr. Langford for the benefit of the Incurables in Bethlem
Hospital
Ordered that the thanks of this Court be communicated to
the above Gentlemen for their Kind and charitable donations
Steward of Bridewell
In pursuance of the Resolution of the last General Court
the Court took into consideration the Recommendations of a
Joint Meeting of the House and Prison Committees of the 14th
of April last, " That instead of the Antient Salary of £100
"per Annum paid to the Steward of Bridewell, and an allowance
"of forty two pounds per Annum for Keeping the Accounts of
"Both Hospitals, he be paid a Salary of One hundred and eighty
"Pounds per Annum for the whole, to commence from Lady day
"last, and to be charged to Bridewell Hospital, and that the
"allowance of Eight pence for each Meal or days provision for the
" Prisoners, made so long ago as the Year 1773, should be increased.

Resolved that this Court do agree with the Recommendation
of the Committees, so far as relates to the increase in the allowance
for supplying the Prisoners with Provisions, and therefore this
Court, Resolved that the Sum of Nine pence per head be paid
