Prison Commee
The Court having taken into consideration the fourth recommendation
in the Report of the Prison Committee
Resolved that the Prison Committee be authorized to continue
and employ in the House for a time exceeding two months from
the expiration of their Commitment such of the Prisoners as they
shall think proper who may be desirous thereof and not able to get
work elsewhere; the persons so continued to Receive the amount of their
daily earnings and to make an allowance towards the provisions of
the House.
The Court took into further consideration the motions made at the
last Court that the Prison Committee be empowered to lay out £1000
in the Repairs and alterations of the Prisons and Houses adjoining
thereto.
Also the alteration recommended by the House Committee in the 4th.
Standing Rule and Order And at this Court the said Motions were
severally agreed to and Confirmed
Rules & Orders
The Court took into consideration the alteration recommended
by the House Committee in the 38th. Standing Rule and Order
Resolved that the said Rule and Order be extended to all
persons whosoever by leaving out the word "Governors" in the 5th.
line and substituting in the room thereof these words Persons
whomsoever and after the word "Hospitals" in the 7th: line by inserting
the words "exceeding in the whole £20".
