in the words and figures following Vizt. This Committee having taken into
Consideration the great expence of maintaining the Incurable Patients in this
Hospital by the Extraordinary and apparent increase in the price of Provisions
and other Articles within the last fifty years and how inadequate and
insufficient the Two Shillings and Six pence a Week paid for the
support of each Patient is in respect to their Maintenance This Committee
is of opinion
That all Incurable Patients to be admitted into this Hospital upon
or after Michaelmas Day next shall pay five Shillings a Week for
their Maintenance.
That all Incurable Patients now in this Hospital and Whose
Maintenance is paid by any Parish or Public Office shall from and after
Michaelmas Day next pay five Shillings a Week for such Maintenance
That all Incurable Patients new in this Hospital and Whose
Maintenance is paid by their Friends shall continue to pay Two Shillings
and six pence a Week for their Maintenance as usual all which is
nevertheless submitted to the Judgment of the Court and Ordered to be
Reported to the next General Court This Court having duly weighed and
considered the said Memorial doth concure in opinion with the said Committee
and therefore Order that the regulations therein contained be carried into
Execution in manner and at the time therein mentioned
