Fowkes Gift


Mr. John Maddison< no role > one of the Governors
reported that in Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 13th.
day of April last he had made an Inquiry and found
that James Verry< no role > late Apprentice to William Dell< no role > was set
up for himself in his Trade and has the Character of a
Diligent and sober Man It is Ordered that the Clerk. do
pay the said James Verry< no role > Ten Pounds out of Mr. Fowkes
Gift to be allowed him in his next Account.

Bouring Josiah< no role > to be paid
£10 Fowkes Gift


Mr. Saml. Swain< no role > one of the Governors reported
that in Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 13th. day of April
last he had made an Inquiry and found that Josiah Bouring
late Apprentice to William Wilby< no role > was set up for himself in his
Trade and has the Character of a Diligent and Sober Man It
is Ordered that the Clerk do pay the said Josiah Bouring Ten
Pounds out of Mr. Fowke's Gift to be allowed him in his next
Account.

Calow Benjamin< no role > to be paid £10

Henry Major< no role > & Robt. Sherson< no role > Esqr s. two of the Governors
reported that in Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 13th. of
April last they had made an Inquiry and found that Benjn.
Calow late Apprentice to Roger Owen< no role > was set up for himself
in his Trade and has the Character of a Diligent and Sober Man
It is Ordered that the Steward do pay the said Benjamin
Calow Ten Pounds out of Mr. Locks Gift to be allowed him
in his next Account.

Applegate Stephen< no role > to be
inquired after for Mr. Fowkes
Gift


Upon Reading the humble Petition of Stephen
Applegate Citizen & Weaver Settingforth that he Served
his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to John Sanders< no role > by Indre
Dated 28th. April 1777 and by Order of Court of 30 Novr: 1785
was made free of this City the 8th. day of February 1786 and
is set up for himself in his Trade at No. 14 New Cock Lane
Bethnal Green and Praying part of Mr. Fowkes Gift it is
Ordered that Mr. Deputy Rogers Mr. Saml. Swain< no role > & Richard
