Mr. Fowkes's Gift


Order of Court of the 29th Day of January last they had
made an Inquiry and found that Henry Box< no role > late
Apprentice to Joshua Crickett< no role > was set up for himself in his
Trade and has the Character of a diligent and Sober Man
It is Ordered that the Clerk do Pay the said Henry Box
Ten Pounds out of Mr. Fowkes's Gift to be allowed him in his
next Account.

after for Mr. Lock's Gift


Upon Reading the humble Petition of Joshua
King
< no role > Citizen and Weaver Settingforth That he served his
Apprenticeship in this Hospital to John Saunders< no role > by
Indenture dated the 5th day of May 1771 and by an Order
of Court of the 19th of July 1781 was made free of this City the
5th. day of September 1781 was set up for himself in his
Trade as a Weaver at No. 22 Artillery Lane Bishopsgate
Street had received Mr. Fowke's Gift and Praying part of
Mr. Lock's Gift It is Ordered that Mr. Deputy Rogers
Mr. Samuel Swain< no role > and Thos Phillips< no role > Esqr or any two of them
be desired to Inquire if the said Joshua King< no role > be set up for
himself in his said Trade and of his hopefulness therein & Report
the same to the Court.

to be inquired after for Mr.
Locks Gift


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of George
Francis Russell Citizen and Weaver Settingforth That he
served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to Roger Owen< no role > by
Indenture Dated the 10th. daly of June 1774 and by an
Order of Court of the 19th. of July 1781 was made free of this
City the 5th. day of September 1781 was set up for himself
in his Trade as a Weaver at No. 6 Holywell Court New Inn
Yard Shoreditch , had received Mr. Fowkes Gift & Praying Part
of Mr. Lock's Gift It is Ordered that Mr Depy. Rogers
Mr. Saml. Swain< no role > & Thos. Phillips< no role > Esqr . or any two of them be
desired to Inquire if the said Geo Francis Russell be set up for
himself in his said Trade & of his hopefulness therein & Report
the same to the Court.
