Vertue of an Order or Resolution of a Court of Common Council
holden the 30th. Day of May in the Year of our Lord 1782 of
the one part And the Right Honble Thomas Harley< no role > Aldn .
of London President and John Darker< no role > Esqr . Treasurer of Saint
Bartholomews Hospital Robert Alsop< no role > Esq . Alderman of London
President and Thomas Burfoot< no role > Esqr . Treasurer of Christs Hospital
Richard Clark< no role > Esquire Alderman of London Treasurer of
Bridewell and Bethlem Hospitals Samuel Plumbe< no role > Esqr .
Alderman of London President and Edward Jefferies< no role > Esqr
Treasurer of Saint Thomas's Hospital and the several other
Persons now acting as Governors of the said several Hospitals
respectively who in behalf of themselves and others acting as
Governors as aforesaid have hereunto set their Hands and
Seals by Victue of certain Orders made at several General
Courts of the said Hospitals respectively Vizt. of Saint
Bartholomews Hospital the 12th. day of June of Christs
Hospital the 13th. Day of June of Bridewell and Bethlem
Hospitals they 14th day of June & if Saint Thomas's Hospitals the said 12th Day of June in the Year of our
Lord 1782 aforesaid of the other part.

Whereas the Ordering Management and
Government of the said Hospitals and of each and every of
them and the several Rights Revenues and Possessions thereof
respectively were Vested in the said Mayor and Commonalty
and Citizens of the City of London and their Successors by several
Charters or Letters Patent of the late Kings Henry the 8th. and
Edward the 6th. bearing date respectively the 13th. Day of
January in the 38th. Year of the Reign of King Henry the 8th.
and 26th. Day of June in the 6th year of the Reign of
King Edward the 6th. with such Powers Rights & Priviledges
to such Uses and Purposes and subject to such Restrictions
