This Court having duly weighed and
considered the said Report doth Confirm the same

Gate Samuel to be inquired
after for Locks Gift.


Upon Reading the humble Petition of Samuel
Gate Citizen and Musician Settingforth That he served
his apprenticeship in this Hospital to Roger Owen< no role > by
Indenture dated 19th December 1771 and by Order of Court
of the 15th. July 1779 was made free of this City the 8th.
Day of September 1779 was set up for himself in his
Trade as a Weaver at Mr. Goldings in Peacock Lane
Newington Surry, has received Mr. Fowkes and praying
part of Mr. Locks Gift It is Ordered that Nicholas
Nixon
< no role > Esqr . Mr. James Bate< no role > & Thomas Calverley< no role > Esqr .
or any two of them be desired to Inquire if the said Samuel
Gate
< no role > be set up for himself in his said Trade and of his
hopefulness therein and Report the same to the Court.
