"Bridewell Hospital At a Committee Wednesday 24th. February
1773. This Committee having taken into Consideration an Order of
Court bearing date the 4th. Day of August 1732 and the Duty of
the Reader and Schoolmaster of this Hospital find and are of
Opinion that such Duty Consists of the following Particulars (That is
to say) To Read Prayers twice every Sunday and once on every
Wednesday and Friday, and Baptize such Children as are brought
