Power to bear the Barthen that will be imposed on them by the said Act of
they were to Apply to have the said Lane paved in pursuance of the above
Clause without the aid and Assistance of Persons who find it Commodions
or Useful to have the said Lane Paved

That the Petitioner have Entred into a Subscription towards the
Expence of New Paving the said Lane which Subscription Amounts to
£500 and upwards and they are applying to several other Persons who
reside in Wapping
and do not Rent any part of the said Hospital Estate
and have received Subscriptions from them and are in daily Expectations
of others Contributing thereto But as the Peitioners are Informed and
believe that the said Lane cannot be thorough by Paved & Repaired for
less than £1300-The Petitioners Prayed the Govrs to Contribute
such Sum of Money towards New Paving the said Lane as to them should
Seem Meet This Court having duly Weighed the said Petition Doth
refer it to the House Committee to Consider the Prayer of the said Petition
and Report their Opinion thereon to the Court
