Continued Wednesday the 26th. Novr 1766

of the aforesaid Repairs may be ascertained and the Petitioner is willing
to treat for a New Lease of the said Premises or an Additional Term to be
added to the Number of Years he has already to come thereinTherefore
Praying that the Surveyor might be directed to Survey and Calculate the
Expences of pulling the said Premises in such Repair as that the same
might be Supported & held for 21 Years to be computed from the Expiration
of the present Lease in being And that upon the Petitioners undertaking
to do such Repairs in a Workman like manner an Additional Term may
be Granted to him for the said Number of Years at the Rent of £10 a year
or such other Rent as the governors or a Committee of them shod think
reasonableThat the Surveyor having taken an Estimate of the
Repairs necessary to be done at the said Messuage and Premises was of
Opinion that it would Cost £120 to Compleat such Repairs and was further
of Opinion that the said Messuage and Premises were worth the Clear
Yearly Rent of £20And the said Mr. Langley being called in before
this Committee proposed to make the Rent £12 and being called in a Second
Time said he would give £15 but afterwards proposed to give £20
Whereupon the Committee having Considered the same are of Opinion that
it will be for the Interest of this Hospital to Grant a Lease to the said Thos.

from Midsr. 1770 for 21 Years at the Clear Yearly Rent of £20 to be paid
Quarterly the first Payment to begin on the 29th. of Septr. 1770 (being the
next Quarter Day after the Expiration of the Term now Vested in him)
Clear of Land Tax and all other Taxes and Deductions he agreeing at
his own Costs and Charges well and Sufficiently to repair the said
Messuage or Tenement within two Years from Misdr. 1770 aforesaid
& to lay out & expend £20 under the Inspection of the Hospital
Surveyor & with his Approbation according to the Particulars now
delivered in & Signed by him, and the said Thomas Langley< no role > also agreeing
to accept a Lease according to the Usual form of Leases Granted by this
Hospital And he being acquainted therewith gave one Guinea to the
Poors Box All which is nevertheless Submitted to the Judgment of
the CourtIt is Ordered that the said Report be Confirmed
and that a Lease for the Term of 21 Years be Granted to the said Thomas
Langley

Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Richard Morrall< no role > Citizen
& weaver Setting forth that he served his Time to Mr Willm Keil< no role > one of
the Artsmasters of this Hospital by Indenture dated 27 July 1756 and by
Order of the Court of 4th. Augt. 1763 he was made free of this City the 17 Novr
1763 and is set up for himself in his said Trade Opposite Bridewell Little
Gate Praying part of Locks Gift It is Ordered that Robt Carr< no role > Esqr . Henry
Kynaston Southouse
< no role > Esqr and Mr Deputy Vere be desired to enquire if the said
Richd. Morrall< no role > be set up for himself in his said Trade and of his hopefulness
therein & Report the same to the Court

Upon Reading the humble Petition of John Saunders< no role > Citizen & Cabenet
Maker Setting forth that he served part of his Time with Mr Croxford & the
remaining part with Mr. Tarrant Artsmasters of this Hospital by Indenture dated
the 10th. Novr. 1752 & by Order of Court of 10 Decr 1760 he was made free of this City the
5th. Sepr 1764 & is set up for himself in his Trade at Mr Rooks near the Bridge yard in
Tooley Street Praying part of Mr Locks Gift It is Ordered that Mr Deputy Roman
Mr Jona Grainger< no role > & Mr Frans. Hutchins< no role > or any two of them be desired to enquirer if the
sd. John Saunders< no role > be set up for himself in his sd. Trade & of his hopefulness therein and
Report the same to the Court
