Vacancy of Artsmar declared
in the Room of James Smith< no role >


At this Court the Vacancy of an Artsmasters of Bridewell
Hospitals was declared in the Room of James Smith< no role > and it
was Ordered that it be referred to the Bridewell Committee to
Consider of a proper perosn in his Room

Gratuities to Beadles &
Porters Man 40s. Each


Upon Reading the humble Petition of the four Beadles
Porters Man of this Hospital for their usual Gratuities of
40s. a Piece for the half Year Ending Christmas last for
their Salaries are but small It is Ordered that the Clerk
do pay to them 40s. a piece to be allowed him in his next
Account

after for Mr. Fowkes Gift


Upon Reading the Humble Petr. of Martin Webb< no role > Citizen
and Needle Maker Setttingforth that he Served his Appreship
in this Hospital to Mr. Sutton Sharples< no role > late one of the Artsmasters
by Indenture Dated 4th March 1755 And by Order of Court
of the 21st. day of October 1762 he was made free of the city
the 10th. day of May 1763 and is set up for himself in his said
Trade in Bear Alley Fleet Ditch Praying Mr. Fowkes Gift It is Ordered that Mr.
Deputy Vere, Henry Kinnaston Southouse< no role > Esqr . and Mr.
Saml. Read< no role > or any two of them be desired to Inquire if the
said Martin Webb be set up for himself in his said Trade
and of his Hopefulness therein and Report the same to the
Court

Gray, Wm< no role > . the like


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Willm. Gray< no role > Citizen
and weaver Settingforth that he served his Apprenticeship
in this Hospital to Mr. Henry Heafford< no role > one of the Arts masters
of this Hospital by Indre Dated the 19th day of July 1757
and by Order of Court of 7th Novr. 1764 was made free of
this City the 2d. april 1765 and is set up for himself in his
sd. Trade at Mrs. Blands in Kealer Street near the Church
Spital Fields praying part of Mr. Fowkes Gift It is Ordered that
Mr. Deputy Rogers Mr. Henry Cranke< no role > and Mr Wm Rogers< no role >
or any two of them be desired to enquire if the saidof the said
Wm Gray< no role > be set up for himself in his sd. Trade Etc of his hopefulness
therein & Report the same to the Court

Adkins John< no role > the like


Upon reading the humble Petr of John Adkins< no role > Citizen and weaver
Setting forth that he served his Time wth Wm Vere< no role > Citizen & weaver & an
Artsmasters of this Hospital by Indre dat 23d Decr. 1757 and by an Order
of Court of 13 Decr. 1765 was made free of this City and is set up for
himself in his Sd. Trade at Mr. Hullacks in Golden Lane Old Street in the
parish of St. Luke praying part of Mr. Fowkes Gift It is Ordered that
Mr. Deputy Rogers Mr. Seward and Mr. Kinleside or any [..] of them
be desired to inquire if the sd. John Adkins< no role > be set up for himself in [..]
sd. Trade and of his hopefulness therein & report the same to the Court
