The Pelitions of the Candidates for the Porters Mans Place in this
Hospital in the Room of William Wilkins< no role > lately made one of the Berd's
being read in Alphabetical Order Vizt. John Allen< no role > . Thomas Armour< no role >
George Gurney< no role > Thomas Holt< no role > and Matthew Reay< no role > . The governors gave
their Ballots which being Cast up the Numbers appeared to be as follows
Vizt.

For John Allen< no role > 48
Thos. Armour< no role > 10
George Gurney< no role > 0
Thos. Holt< no role > 18
Matthew Reay< no role > 5

Whereupon the Right Worshipful the President declared the
said John Allen< no role > to be duly Elected Portersman of the said Hospital
till the next Election dayAnd it is Ordered that upon his
Producing a Certificate of his and his Wifes Settlement he the
said John allen< no role > be admitted Porters Man of the said Hospital
of Bridewell until the next Election Day And that he have
such Apartment as the Comittee of this House shall think fit
