Upon Reading a Report from the Comittee of this House dated
the 9th. day of Decr. 1755 under the hands of John Wallington< no role > Esq Trear
Mr. Richd. Reily< no role > Mr. William Seward< no role > Mr. Richard Blunt< no role > Mr. Jos. Vere< no role >
Mr. Saml Seawell< no role > & Mr. Robert Pott< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. as follows VizThis Comittee
upon further Considering of The Olders Reported to & Confirm'd by the
Court 13th Novr. last concerning the Artsmasters, Apprentices, &
Beadles in this Hospital are of OpinionThat it wou'd better Answer
the Intended regulations if the Several Iems under mentioned were
Varied & made as follows Vizt.

Concerning Artsmasters


1st. ItemTo begin with these WordsThat no Artsmaster
shall be Admitted who is not of the Church of England as by Law
EstablishedAnd at the latter andInstead of the beadles Attending
the ChappeldoorThese Words to be insertedThe Clerk's
Office every next Monday Morning

4th. Itemafter the Word TreasurerThe Andr. Genl. to be inserted

Concerning Apprentices


Bridges to be put on


1st. ItemThat all the Apprentices shall wear the Cloaths
given 'em by this Hospital Vizt. Blew Doublets Wastcoats & Trowsers
White hatts, Bands, & Green Stockings, And that Badges Numbred
shall be put on the right Breast of their Doublets & the left Breast of
their Wastcoats, And if any of'em shall Presume to wear any Doublet
or Wastcoat without a Badge or take off Deface Cover or hide the Badge
Or cut alter or Spoil any of their Apparel, Or wear any other Cloaths
they shall be Comitted to the block till next Court.

Concerning the Beadles


1st. ItemTo Add these WordsAnd shall regularly &
Audibly every half hour Proclaim the time & Weather at every side
of the two Courts.

5th. ItemThat the Beadle in Waiting shall constantly Attend at
the Compting house or about the HospitalAnd that He & the
rest of the Beadles & Portersman shall take Care that the Apprentices
or any others do not Comitt disorders in the HospitalAnd shall not
Suffer any Neighbouring Children or Servants to play within the
Hospital All which is Nevertheless Submitted to the Judgment of the
CourtThis Court haveing d [..] ly weighed & Considered the sd. Report Doth
Confirm the same And Order that the former Orders be Varied Accordingly.
