December 1752 the Governors Demised to the Petitioner Jernegan a peice
of ground in Bishopsgate Street
and Old Bethlem
for 61 years from
Laday them next at a Pepper Corn rent for the first 2 years and for the
residue of the sd. Term £40 P Ann clear of Taxes upon wch ground he
hath lately built 7 Brick MessesThat in Pursuance of a Lycence
Granted to the Petitioner Jernegan at a Court 19th. Janry 1753 he hath
made the following Leases for 21 years Vizt. a Lease dated 21st. Decr 1753 to
Abraham Brabins< no role >
of one of the sd. Houses at £50 P Ann renta Lease
dated the sd. 21st. of Decr. 1753 to Charles Boddington< no role >
of another of the sd.
Houses at £60 P Ann rent a Lease dated 10th Janry 1754 to Joseph< no role >
and Richard Austin< no role >
of 2 other of the sd. Houses at £45 P Ann rent
And in pursuance of another Lycence Granted to the Petr. Jernegan
at a Court 11th. of April 1754 he hath made a Lease dated 12th April 1754
to Daniel Masemore< no role >
of another of the said Houses for 14 years at £24
P Ann rentAnd by Indre dated 18th. April 1754 hath assigned the
sd. 5 Messes to John Holmes< no role >

for the residue of the said Term to
come in the sd. Original LeaseAnd hath Agreed with the Petitioner
Rogers to Assign to him the other 2 of the sd. Houses for the Remainder
of the sd. Term yet to comeAnd praying the Gov [..] ors to Accept
a Surrender from the petitioner Jernegan of the sd. Origl. Lease [..]
And to grant a New Lease of the first mentioned 5 houses to the
Petr Holmes for the residue of the said Term of 61 years to come
at £30 (part of the sd. £40) P Ann rentAnd a New Lease of the
other 2 Houses to the Petr. Rogers for the residue of the sd. Term of
61 years to come at £10 (residue of the sd. £40) P Ann rentThis
Court having duly weighed and Considered the sd. Petition Doth Order
That a Surrender be Accepted from the Petr. Jernegan of the sd. Original
LeaseAnd that a New Lease be Granted of the first mentioned 5 houses
to the Petitioner Holmes for the residue of the said Term of 61 years
now to come and unexpired at the yearly rent of £30 Payable quarterly
clear of all Taxes and Deductions wahtsoever But Subject to the 4 Leases
abovementioned to have been made by the Petr. Jernegan as aforesaid
And that a New Lease of the other 2 houses be granted to the Petitioner
Rogers for the residue of the sd. Term of 61 years now to come & unexpired at
the yearly rent of £10 Payable quarterly clear of all Taxes & Deductions Whatsoever
