Served his Apprenticeship to Sutton Sharpe< no role > one of the Artsmasters
by Indre dated 19th. Janry 1747/8

Upon the humble Application of Mr Taylor on behalf of himself
& the rest of the Officers, Artsmasters & ServantsIt is Ordered that
the Steward of this Hospital do pay the Assessment made upon this
Hospital for the Window lights for the year ending 25th of March last
amounting to £23.11.9to be Allowed him in his next Account.

A Motion being made That in regard to the Extraordinary Diligence
of Mr. Richard Pice< no role > the Porter of this Hospital a Gratuity be given him for
his good Services for the time past since the Court gave him a Gratuity
And the Sum of Twenty five Guineas being now proposed and the
Question thereupon putIt is Order'd that the Clerk do pay
the sd. Mr. Pice Twenty five Guineas as a Gratuity for his sd. Services

Vacancy of an Artsmaster in the
Room of John Burnham deced declared }


At this Court the Vacancy of an Artsmaster by the Death of
Mr. John Burnham< no role > was declared And Order'd that the Election of
an Artsmaster be at the next Court and Notice thereof be Incerted in
the Sumons's.

Setting forth he Served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to Mr Dell
and by Order of this Court has been made free of this City & reced £10
of Mr. Fowkes Gift for which he returns his most humble thanks to
the CourtAnd having Occasion for further Assistance prays some
part of Mr. Locks Gift to enable him the better to carry on his
Trade It is referr'd to the Comittee of this House to enquire
into his behavior & Report their Opinion to this Court.
