Upon reading the Petition of John Gurney< no role > sett noforthThat he
hold under the Governor a Team called Cothin near Deal in Kent
at the yearly Rent of £253. the Lease whereof hath been sometime
expiredThat a new floor he very much wanted in the Barn in
the Farm Yard which will take up about 40 Deals and with the
Joysts & Work worship will amount to about £12That he is
very much s [..] for room for his family in the House and there
being an half at the back front the Wings whereof cat and 12
foot beyond the Middle part which is about 18 foot in length there
might be a Ground Room made with a Room over it by running up
a brick Wall from out Wing to the other and the charge of building
& covering in the same & flooring and plaistering the said two Rooms
& Leaden Gutter as the Petr is informed by the Workmen will not
amount to above £50. And in regard the Petr. & his Father and
Grandfather have been for many years past Tenants of the said
TermPrayed the Governors to allow him a New Barn floor & the
said two Rooms to be builtAnd to grant him a new Lease for
Twenty one years from last Michaelmas at the same rent & with
usual CovenantsIt is Ordered that the said Petition be
referred to the Comittee of this House to consider thereof & to report
their Opinion thereon to the Court
