The Clerk reported to this Court that the Information at the Relation
of the Governors of the Bethlem Hospital & St. Georges Hospital in regard
to Sr . John James< no role > 's Will was field.

Upon reading a Report from the Comittee of this House bearing date the
16th. of June instant under the hands of Edward Holloway< no role > Esqr . Trear
John Lock< no role > Esqr . Dr . Richard Rawlinson< no role > , Mr Walter Barnard< no role > , Mr. Edward Dod< no role >
& Mr Thomas Morris< no role > in the words and figures following Vizt.Mr. Rutter
one of the Common Councell Men for the Ward of Farrington without
having acquainted this Comittee that 23 Lamps have been set up and
Kept lighted in Bridewell Precinct in pursuance of the late Act of
Parliament but that no Assessment has been made upon the Inhabitants
towards the Charge thereof and desiring that the Comittee would
consider of a proper Method of defraying the Charge of setting up and
lighting the said Lamps This Comittee are of Opinion That the
Assessment for the Lamplight is to be made upon the Inhabitants in
Bridewell Precinct in the same manner as the Assessment is made upon
the Inhabitants of the Ward of Farrington without but that the two
Lamps against the Hospital being excepted in the Act of Parliament
and the five that stand upon the Citys Ground along the side of
Fleetditch are to be paid for by the Chamberlins And it is ordered that
this be reported to the CourtThis Court having duly Weighed and
considered of the said Report doth Confirm the same.

Mr. Deputy Pycroft one of the Governors of these Hospitals reporting to this
Court that in pursuance of an Order of Court the 23d of Dec. last he and
Mr. Richard Bridgeman< no role > another of the Governors of these Hospitals had
made Enquiry and found that Thomas Pigot< no role > who served his Apprenticeship
in this Hospital is set up for himself in the Trade of a Shoemaker and
hath the Character of a diligent and sober Man It is Ordered that the
Steward of this Hospital do give and pay unto the said Thomas Pigot< no role >
Ten pounds out of Mr. Locks Gift to be allowed him in his next Account
