At this Court the persons hereunder named were Ordered to be made free of this
City having served their Apprenticeships in this Hospital to the Artsmasters
hereunder mentioned Vizt.

Upon reading the humble Petition of Posthumus Bishop Weaver SettingforthThat
he served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to Mr. William Phillips< no role > one of the Artsmaster
by Indre bearing date the 4th. October 1727 and by an Order of Court the 21st of Augt
1735. he was on the 1st. of Septr. 1735. made free of this City and is set up for himself
at his said Trade atMr. Hutchins in Flowendean Street Spittlefields And
the Court being informed that the Comittee of this House on the 5th. of July instant
inspected the Book kept of Apprentices behaviour and found no Complaint against him
It is Ordered that Mr. Deputy Willy Mr. Robert Hally Mr. Richard Bridgman< no role >
three of ye Governors of these Hospitals or any two of them be desired to inquire whether the
said Posthumus Bishop be set up in his Trade and of his hopefullness therein and to
made their Report to the Court./.

Upon reading the humble Petition of Thomas Foot< no role > Hempdresser Setting forthThat
he served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to Mr. William Stead< no role > late one of the
Artsmaster s of the said Hospital by Indre bearing date the 12th of Novr. 1724 and
by an Order of this Court the 11th. February 1735 . he was on the 20th. of February 1735 .
made free of this City and is set up for himself in his said Trade atThos: Jemford< no role > s
over against the Croskeys Inn in white Cross street And the Court being informed that
the Committee of this House on the 5th. of July instantinspected the Book kept of
Apprentices behaviour and found no Complaint against himIt is Ordered that
Mr. William Cooper< no role > Richd. Buckley< no role > Esqr & Mr Fra Horling< no role > three of the Governors of these
Hospitals or any two of them be desired to inquire whether the said Thomas Foot< no role > be
set up in his Trade & of his hopefullness therein and to make their Report top the Court./.

Beadles Gra ½ Yr Midsr
1738}


Upon reading the humble Petition of the four Beadles of this Hospital for their usual
Gratuitys of Forty Shillings a peice in respect of the half year ending at Midsummer
last for that their Salarys are but smallIt is Ordered that the Clock of these
Hospitals do give and pay unto them Forty Shillings a peice to be allowed him in
his next Account./.

Baskettmen Gra ½ Yr
Midsr 1738}


Upon reading the humble Petition of the three Beadles or Baskettmen of the Hospital
of Bethlem for their usual Gratuitys of Twenty Shillings a Peice in respect of the half
Year ending at Midsummer last for that their Salarys are but smallIt is Ordered
that the Clerk of these Hospitals do give and pay unto them Twenty Shillings upon
to be allowed him in his next Account./.

thanks to the Governors for the many favour he had received from them and being
in Years and willing to retire desired leave to resign his said place
Whereupon. It is Ordered that the said Mr. Page's resignation be accepted./.
