Upon reading the humble Petition of Charles Smith< no role > and Elizabeth< no role > his Wife
late the Widow of William Barker< no role > deced and also the Petition of Elizabeth Arnall< no role >
Spinster setting forthThat William Barker< no role > late Husband of the Petr.
Elizabeth Smith< no role > on the 26th. of May 1736 agreed with the Comittee of this
Hospital for a Lease of an House called the White lyon in Wapping (No. 6) the
Lease whereof was lett to Elizabeth Fell< no role > Widow (and expired at Michas 1736)
for 21 years to comence from the Expiration of the former Lease at the Rent of £5.
P ann payable Quarterly clear of Taxes and to pay a Fine of £100. and to repair
the premes at his own ChargeThat the said William Barker< no role > shortly after
dyed before the payment of the said Fine and before the said Lease was executed having
first made his will and there of appointed the Petr. Elizabeth Smith< no role > sole Executrix &
residuary Legatee That the Petr. Elizabeth Smith< no role > afterwards applyed to the
Governors praying that the said Lease might be made to her which at a Court holden
for the said Hospital on Wednesday the 27th. of October lastlast1736 was
ordered accordinglyThat the Petr. Eliza. hath since intermarried with the Petr.
Charles Smith< no role > and they are desirous to be discharged of the said Premes and that the
said Lease may be made to the Petr. Elizabeth Arnall< no role > who is willing to accept
thereof on the same Terms and Conditions as the same was intended to be granted
to the said William Barker< no role > or the Petr. Elizabeth Smith< no role > And praying a Lease
may be made to the Petr. Elizabeth Arnall< no role > This Court having
considered the said Petition Doth order that a Lease be made to the said
Elizabeth Arnall accordingly.

Upon reading the humble Petition of John Baker< no role > of the Parish of Saint
Leonard Shoreditch Carpenter and Thomas Astley< no role > of London Merchant
settingforthThat the Governors by Indre of Lease bearing date the 13th. day
of June 1737. Demised to the Petr. John Baker< no role > a peice of Ground in Bethlem
street in the precinct of Bethlem in the parish of St. Botolph without
Bishopsgate London whereon three brick messages were then Erecting and
building abutling South on Bethlem street and North on other Ground demised
or agreed to be demised by the Govrs. to the Petr. Baker And East on the passage
leading from Bethlem street into Globe Yard and West on certain Ground
belonging to the City of London in the possion of George Greaves< no role > which said peice
of Ground contains in Front towards Bethlem street from East to West 49 foot
and 2 Inches and in Depth from North to South on the East side thereof 53 foot
and on the West side there of from Bethlem street Northward 33 foot 8 Inches to
a break of 4 foot Eastward and from thence Northward 29 foot 4 Inches To hold
for 61 years from Laday 1737. at a Pepper Corn Rent the first year and £12. for
the remainder of the Term clear of TaxesAnd by one other Indre of Lease
of the same date the Govrs. demised to the Petr. Baker one other peice of Ground
near or adjoining to the last mentioned Ground whereon three brick Houses were
then likewise Erecting and building a butting South on Bethlem street and North
on the other Ground demised or agreed to be demised by the Govrs. to the Petr.
Baker as aforesaid and East on the passage leading from Bethlem street to
Bethlem Court and West on the passage leading from Bethlem street aforesaid
to Globe Yard and contains in front towards Bethlem street from East to
west 49 foot 2 Inches and in Depth from North to South on the East and
West sides thereof 53 foot To hold for 61 years from Laday 1737. at a
Pepper Corn the first year and £13. P ann for the Remr. of the Term clear of
TaxesThat the Petr. Baker is desirous of Demiseing or Leasing to the
Petr. Thomas Astley< no role > the several premes by the said several Leases granted for a
Term not exceeding the said term granted to the Petr. Baker as aforesaid
And praying that the Petr. Baker may have leave to demise or Lease the said
premes to the Petr. Thomas Astley< no role > accordinglyIt is ordered that the said
Mr. Baker have the Licence of this Court to demise or Lease the said
premes to the said Mr. Astley.
