Upon Reading a Report from the Comittee of this House under the hands
of the Right Worshipfull Robert Alsop< no role > Esquire Alderman and Treasurer Mr. Robert
Bishop
< no role > , Mr. Henry Godwin< no role > Mr. Roger Lynch< no role > Mr. Joseph Kettle< no role > and Dr Richard
Rawlinson
< no role > bearing date the 29th. day of July last in the words following Vizt.
Nicholas Carto< no role > Cabinetmaker proposed to take a Lease of the House he now lives
in on the West side of Water Street in Bridewell Precinct (No. 17. late Hebbs) for
Twenty one Years from Miches next at ten pounds P Annum Rent clear of Taxes
and to put it into Sufficient repair and insure it in the Hand in Hand Five Office with
ofter usual Covenants contained in the Leases from the Governors of Bridewell
Hospital to their Tenants And this Comittee having considered of the said
Proposal are of Opinion to accept the same Whereupon the said Mr. Carto gave
half a Guinea to the Poors Box All which nevertheless is submitted to the
Judgment of the Court And it is ordered that this Opinion be reported to the next
CourtThis Court doth confirm the said Report and Order that a
Lease be made to the said Mr. Carto accordingly.

of his Apprentice Henry Goodgame< no role > That he neglects and Spoils his Work and lyes
out o nightsand the Apprentice complaind that he had been severely corrected
and he and his Mother being present desird That he might he discharged from his
Master to which the Master willingly consentedThis Comee are of opinion
That the said Henry Goodgames Indentures of Apprenticeship be cancelled by
the Consent of his Master and his Mother and himself All which nevertheless
is submitted to the Judgment of the Court And it is ordered That this opinion
be reported to the next CourtThis Court doth confirm the said
Report and Order that the said Henry Goodgames< no role > Indres of Apprenticeship
be cancelled accordingly.
