a Lease of house in Fleet street

Upon reading a Report from the Comittee of this House under the hand
of Robert Alsop< no role > Esqr . Aldn . & Treasurer Mr. Joseph Ayliffe< no role > Mr. Edward Dod< no role >
George Welham< no role > Esqr . and Mr. Thomas Davis< no role > bearing date the 13th. day of this Instant
November in the words following Vizt.Mr. John Coggs< no role > Tenant of a House in
Fleet street proposd to this Comittee to take a Lease of the said House for 21 years to
Comence from Christmas next at the yearly rent of thirty six pounds payable quarterly
with usual Covenants in the Leases from the Governors of this Hospital to their Tenants
and free from all Parliamentary and other Taxes and charges whatsoever This
Comittee are of opinion to accept the said proposal whereupon the said Mr. Coggs
gave half a Guinea to the Poors Box All which nevertheless is submitted to the Judgement
of the Court And it is Ordered that this Opinion be reported to the next Court

This Court doth confirm the said Report and Order that a Lease be made
to the said Mr. Coggs accordingly.

The Clerk acquainted this Court That Mr. Nicholas Apthorpe< no role > late of Potter [..]
in the County of Bedford Gent deced by his Will dated ye. 21st of Septr. 1729 Did be [..]
to the Governor or Governors of Bethlem near Morefields and their Successors for the
time being from time to time for ever for the use of poor Lunaticks there All his
Messages Lands & Tenemts.. with their appurtenances in Caldicott in the parish of Northill
in the County of Bedford which said premisses were Subject to a Mortgage made thereof
to Mrs. Mary Hawkins< no role > And that Mr. John Mordaunt< no role > had brought a Bill in
Chancery for recovery thereof to which Bill it is necessary that an Answer should
be put in for the Governors Whereupon it is Ordered That an Answer be put in
to the said Bill and that the direction thereof be referrd to the Comittee of this [..]
