Upon reading the humble Petition of John Harket< no role > and Mary Allcock< no role >
Settingforth That ye. said John Hacket< no role > is by several Mesue Assignments
become intitled to a Lease (No. 13) made by the Governors of this Hospital to John
Fremlin
< no role > of a Peice of ground belonging to this Hospital in Tudor Street in Bridewell
Precinct at the yearly Rent of £14. 12-whereon the said Fremlin bailt 3 House
which said Lease will expire at Midsumer 1732That the said Mary
Allcock
< no role > is Daughter of the said John Hacket< no role > and is willing to take a new Lease
of the said Premisses for 14 Years to comence from the Expiration of the present
Lease and to pay the same Rent and a Fine of £20. and that the said John
Hacket
< no role > being old is Willing and desirous that a new Lease should be granted to
the said Mary Allcock< no role > And Praying that the Governors will great her
a new Lease according to her said ProposalIt is Ordered That it be
referrd to the Comittee of this House to consider of the said Petition and to report their
opinion therein to this Court.

Upon reading a Report from the Comittee of this House under the hands of the
Right Worshipfull Robert Alsop< no role > Esqr . Alderman & Treasurer , Mr. Edward Whitehouse< no role >
Edward Bridgen< no role > Esqr . & Mr. Joseph Kettle< no role > bearing date the 21st. day of August
last in the words following Vizt.In Pursuance of an Order of Court of the
24th. of March 1726/7 This Comee have taken into consideration the Petition of Mr. Edward
Howard
< no role > Exerc. of Martha Phillips< no role > SettingforthThat he is intitled to 2 Leases
made by the Govrs. to her one (No. 18) dated ye. 1st. of Novr, 1711 of the Bull Alehouse and
the House adjoining to it in old Bethlem for 19 Years at £22 P Ann & ye. other (No. 19)
dated the 28th. of Novr. 1705 of 7. Tenements in old Bethlem & Bishopsgate Street for
24 Years at £75. P Ann both which Leases expire at Michas next That he is willing to
Pat ye. Prmes into good repair & to pay £100. Fine & ye. Same Rent & Praying That ye. Govrs.
woud grant him 2 new Leases of ye. said Prmes for 21 years to comence from ye. expiration of
the said former LeasesAnd some of the Comittee having veiwd the said Premisses
And this Comee having heard the Proposals as well of the respective Tenants of the
said Prmisses as of the said Mr. Howard and he having now offerd to give £50. Fine
and the Old Rent of £22. P Ann for a new Lease of ye. 2 Houses for 21 Years
and £150. Fine and £98 P ann for a new Lease of the 7. Houses
for 21 years both to comence from Michas nextThis Comittee are of opinion
to accept the Proposals of the said Mr. Howard whereupon he gave three Guineas
to the Poor's Box All which is never theless submitted to the Judgment of the Court
And ti is ordered That this opinion be reported to the next CourtThis Court
doth confirm the said Report and Order that two Leases be made to the said Mr.
Howard accordingly.

Esqr , and Mr. William Jackson< no role > two other of the Governors of these Hospitals who by
an Order of Court of the 18th. of July last were desird to enquire after Joseph Barber< no role >
Weaver being both out of Town and Lawrence Parker< no role > Esqr . the other Governor therein
named being dead They had made Enquiry and found That the said Joseph Barber< no role >
who servd his Apprenticeship in this Hospital is set up for himself in the Trade of
a Weaver and hath the Character of a diligent and Sober manIt is Ordered
That the Steward of this Hospital do give and pay unto the said Joseph Barber< no role >
Ten Pounds out of Mr. Locks Gift to be allowd him in his next Account.
