15th. Novr. 1728

Substantial Houses according to the second rate of building instead of
the Whitehouse and the house wherein he now livesThis Comittee are of
opinion to accept the said proposal Whereupon the said Mr. Palmer gave
two Guineas to the poors BoxAnd it is further Ordered that this
Opinion be reported to the next Court All which is nevertheless Submitted to the
Judgment of the CourtThis Court doth Confirm the said Report
and Order That a Lease be made to the said Mr. Palmer accordingly.

Upon Reading a Report from the Comittee of this house under the
hands of John Tayler< no role > Esqr . Treasurer , Mr. Joseph Kettle< no role > Mr. Stephen
Aynsworth
< no role > Mr. James Bartlett< no role > Mr. Thomas Parry< no role > Mr. John Pycroft< no role > and
Thomas Pinder< no role > Esqr . bearing date the seventh day of this Instant November
in the words following Vizt.This Comittee having taken into consideration
the proposal of Mr. Richard Manning< no role > Hosier praying That he may have a
Lease of the House in Holborn (No. 4. lately lett to Brown and formerly to Higgins)
at the Rent of £46. P Ann clear of all Parliamentary and other Taxes and
Charges whatsoever for 21. years from Midsumer last and to take ye. house in the
Condition it now is and a Lease with usual Covenants and a Covenant that he will
insure the premisses from fire from time to time during the said Term at his own
Charge and assign the Policys of Insurance to the Treasurer of this Hospital for
the time beingThis Comittee are of opinion to accept of the said proposal
whereupon the said Mr. Manning gave a Guinea to the poors Box And it is
further Orderd That this opinion be reported to the next Court All which
nevertheless is Submitted to ye. Judgmt. of ye. CourtThis Court doth confirm the sd.
Report and Order That a Lesae be made to ye. sd. Mr. Manning accordingly.

bearing date the Seventh day of this Instant November in ye. words following Vizt.
This Comee having taken into Consideration the proposal of Mr. Thomas Bird< no role >
praying That he may have a Lease of the Lower Vaults in Fowks Court in Tower Street
for 14. years to comence from Christmas next at ye. Rent of £30. P AnnAs also
the proposal of Mr. James Jobson< no role > praying That he may have a Lease of the Upper
Vaults in the said Court for 14. years to comence from Christmass next at ye. Rent of
£20. P AnnAnd the said Bird having been called in to amend his sd. proposal
offerd to give £40. P Ann for the said Under Vaults and the sd. Mr. Jobson having been
also calld in to amend his sd. proposal offerd to give £24. P Ann for the said Upper Vaults
and withdraw and being calld in again said he would not give any more Whereupon the
said Mr. Bird was again calld in and having offerd to give £70. P ann for both
the Upper and Lower Vaults Clear of all Taxes and to take a Lease for 14. or 21.
years to comence from Christmas nextThis Comittee are of opinion to accept
ye. last proposal of ye. sd. Mr. Bird Whereupon he gave five Guineas to ye. Poors
which nevertheless is submitted to ye. Judgment of ye. CourtThis Court
doth Confirm the said Report and Order That a Lease he made to the
said Mr. Bird accordingly.
