Richard Ekerman< no role > (who Served his Apprenticeship to Daniel Nipp< no role > one of
the Artsmasters of this Hospital) petitioned this Court to be made free of this city
But Mr Treasurer acquainting this Court that the said Ekerman is in the black
book Seventeen times for faulls Comitted during the time of his apprenticeship
his said petition was rejected.

refusing to work & threatning his said Master (if he beat him) to Strike him up
& for Entiring his Fellow Apprentice John Walker< no role > to run away with him which the
said Walker did & Own'd the same in Court It is Order'd that the said
Daniel Wacket< no role > be Corrected in the presence of all the Apprentices in this Hospital
which was done accordinglyAnd the said John Walker< no role > was afterwards
Reprimanded by Mr President & Order'd to return home to his Master

Upon Reading a Report from the Comittee of this House under
the hand of Mr Treasurer Tayler, Mr Serjt. James Sheppard< no role > , Mr Samuel

last as followsIn Persuance of an order of Court of the 18th
December last This Comittee have taken into Consideration the petition of
Theophilus Armit Setting forthThat in the year 1720 he being a Lesser
for about Seven years to come of a Messuage & a Peice of Ground in Bridewell
Precinct the same was Consumed by Fire by which over and above his Interest in
the Buildings he was a Sufferer to the Value of £2000That he thereupon
applyed for a Building Lease & Submitted himself in all things to the Court
That the Court were pleased to take the matter into Consideration & Mr
Cordwell an Undertenant of the petitioners being also a Suffer & Indebted to
him £85. for rent Arrear the Hospital in Consideration to him proposed
That the petitioner should Release him& should raise a new Building to
the Value of £600 persuant to a Draught for that purposeAnd upon
a Supposition or Representation that by the New Disposition of the Ground
the Yard neat the New River Company would for that Company's up to
worth 90. or £100 P Ann the petitioners tent of £30. P Ann was
Proposed to be made £ 60 Yearly & a Lease to be Granted by the Hospital
for 24 YearsThat however unexpected these Terms Seem'd to be yet
the Petitioner having so at first proposed to Submit himself, readily Comply'd
& accordingly Released Mr CordwellThat he has furnished the Buildings
Propsed & has Let the Yard to the best Advantage he was able But instead
of £90. or £100 P Ann he has been obliged (after his greatest Endeavours)
to Let it at £40and instead of £600 has been Obliged to lay
out about £2000 in finishing the Buildings aforesaidAnd praying
