At this Court Mr Phineas Cheek< no role > Reced his Charge as
one of ye Governours of these hospitals

Upon reading the Humble Petition of Francis Read< no role > of the
parish of St. Andrew Holbourn in the County of Middx Shoemaker
Settingforth That he has lived in the said parish above Twenty
years and Carryed on his said Trade [..] And being desireous to
become an Artsmaster And to give Security to Comply wth. ye Orders
relateing to Artsmasters And to take up his freedome in this City
to Qualifie him for that purposeAnd praying to be Elected an
artsmar . of this HospitalAnd this Court haveing received
a good Character of this said Francis Read< no role > And that he is a fitt
person to be an Artsmasterand the Question being put that
the said Francis Read< no role > be Elected an Artsmaster of this Hospital
He was Nomine Contradicente Elected an Artsmaster Upon his
giveing Security to Pforme the Orders of this Court As in such
Case is usual And upon takeing up his freedome of this City & produceing
to the Comittee of this House a Certificate of his Legal Settlement And
It is further Ordered That upon the sd. Francis Reads< no role > Pforming the
Conditions above menconed to ye Satisfaccon of the Comittee of this House
He be admitted an Artsmaster without any further Order of this
Court And that he have such Appartment in this Hospital As the
Comittee of this House shall think fitt to Appoint him
