s of this hospital setting forth That he was admitted an
artsmar
. ye 27th day of March 1696 and humbly hoped he had always
discharged his Duty well & with due respect to the Governours and
constant care of the apprentices that had been Comitted to his Charge
which had been considerable in numberThat by Reason of his
indisposition of body he was obliged for his healths sake to be very
often in ye Countrey so that he was not capable of manageing so
many Boys as he formerly had done and which might be expected
from hath and therefore humbly beggd Leave to Surrender his
place of artsmar. and that his humble thanks to the Governors.
might be acceptable for the many favours he had received
from them It is Ordered that ye sd William Bells Resignacon
be accepted.
