Also this Court doth Order that the House in Fleet Street belonging
to this Hospital late in the pession of Monk be putt into Tenantasie
Repair And that it be Referred to the Comittee of this House to give suit
direccons for the Repairing thereof as they Shall see proper

Also upon reading the humble Peticon of Joseph Dawson< no role > lately
one of the Beadles for this Hospital setting forth That he was Elected
Beadle the Sixth day of Novembr. 1702 and served till Lady Day
1703 before he had either Sallary or Coles the Christmas quarters
Sallary and Coles being Ordered to Mrs. Martin the widdow of
Thomas Martin< no role > the Petr Predecessor And that the Petr had not any
Coles till July or August 1703 And the Petr. being Dismissed before
Michas last and Ordered to Lease his Coles William Harrison< no role > his
Successor. layes Clayme to them That at Michas last there was a
quarters Sallary due to the Petr. as Beadle being Forty Shillings and
the like Sume as gratuity money has been usually allowed which
together is four pounds besides seventeen or eighteen Shillings for and
quarters Watch money And praying that his Wages gratuity and
Watch money may be paid him and the Coles bestowed on him which
had been delivered to him Itt is Ordered That the Sallary and
Watch money be paid unto the said Joseph Dawson< no role > to the time he
was Discharged and that Twenty Shillings be paid him as the
usual allowance in respect of the quarter ending at Midsumer last

Beadles Gratuityes


Also upon reading the humble Petition of James Male< no role > Senr Roger
Gething
< no role > and James Male< no role > Junr . three Beadles of this Hospital of
Bridewell and Nicholas Gething< no role > the Porters man for their usual
gratuityes of Forty Shillings a peice in respect of the halfe yeare
Ending at Michas last for that their Sallaryes are but small And
praying a Consideracon for the time they performed the Duty of the
fourth Beadle dureing the Vacancy Itt is Ordered by this Court
that Mr Treasurer be desired to pay them Forty Shillings a peice as
usual And also to give them twenty Shillings to be equally binded
amongst them as a gratuity for their performeing the business of
the other Beadle from the time of the Dismission of Joseph Dawson< no role >
untill the Election of Benjamin Harrison< no role >

Baskettmen Do


Also upon Reading the humble Peticon of the three Beadles or
Baskettmen of the Hospital of Bethlem for their usual gratuity of
Twenty Shillings a peice in respect of the halfe year ending at must as
last past Itt is Ordered That Mr. Treasurer be desired to give and
pay unto them twenty shillings a peice as usual
