Also upon Receding to this Court the Report of Daniell Baker< no role >
(Trear of these hosplls.) Mr. Depty Fazakerley Capt . Richardson
Craddock
< no role > and Mr. Dade being a Comittee appointed to Consider of
the Petition of Thomas Mottley< no role > For a New Lease of a House law
the Fortum Taverm in wappin That they are of opinion That
the said Thos. Mottley< no role > may have a New Lease of the said House an
the Termes following for 41 Yeares to comence from Lady day next
vizt. That he shall the day before the date of such Lease Surrender
up his Lease now in being And shall within two years after the date
of such New Lease Lay out the Same of £200 in the Substantive
new wharfing repairing new building or amending the sd. prmisses as
occasion shall require And That he shall pay from the Comencemt.
of such new Lease £12 a yeare being £4: a yeare more then was
formrly. paid for the same To Which Termes the sd Thos. Mottley< no role > was
willing to agree This Court haveing Considered thereof Doth
Confirme the said Report And doe Order That a New Lease
shall be made to the sd. Thos. Mottley pursueant to the Agreemt: aforesd.

Also upon the humble Petition of the Four Beadles and Porters
man of the Hosptl. of Bridewell For their usuall Gratuityes of £20
is respect of the halfe yeare ending at Ladyday last And also for
£20. a peice more to buy them Coles for ye. Coles and all Manner of
provissions Continue very deare and they have all of them Farme
to Maintaine This Court upon Consideracon of the prmisses. Doe
think fitt and Soe Order That Mr. Trear doe give and pay unto them
£20. a peice for their usuall Gratuityes and also Twenty Shillings
a peice more to buy them Coales to be allowed Mr. Trear in his
next Account

Also upon the Humble Petition of the Three Beadles or
Baskettmen of the Hosptl. of Bethlem For their usuall Gratuityes
of £20. a peice given them by this Court in respect of the half
yeare Ending at Lady day last Itt is Ordered by this Court That Mr.
Trear Doe Give and pay unto them £20. a peice To be allowed Mr. Trear
in his next Accot:

Also upon the humble Petition of Thomas Yates< no role > Sheward of the Hospt
of Bethlem Laying before this Court the Condicond of his place as to his
Sallary being the same it was on the Foundacon, of the sd. hosptl. And the
bussiness of his office being 3 times as much as it formerly was wch. take
up his whole time and his pquisitts are Scarce anything And humbly
Court shall think fitting This Court haveing duely weighed of the said Considered
thereof and being Satisfyed in the Care and Dilligence of the Saml Thomas
Yates
< no role > Doe think fitt and Soe Order That Mr. Trear doe give and pay unto
him the yearly gratuity of £40. from [..] Xtmas 1697 during the pleasure
of this Court.
