Also upon the humble peticon of Ann Hunt< no role > Shewing That her Son Richd
Hunt
< no role > was in Aprill 1695. by Order of this Court putt Apprentice to Christopher
Green
< no role > one of the Artsmasters of Bridewell Hospll. Notwithstanding which the
said Green Demanded & tooke of the peticonr. £50: In respect of his Takeing
him Apprentice But abt. a yeare Since the said Richd Hunt< no role > had an
extraordinary Swelling in his Neck which for want of some Carr and
the hard Vsage of his Master brought the Boy into a Languishing
and dangerous Condiccon That the peticonr. tooke him home and has been
att great charge about him & has lately gott him into St: Bartholomew
Hospll : That she has noe Expectacon he will ever be able to goe against
his said Master Humbly praying Therefore the Consideracon of this Court
as to the money the said Green had of her and the great Charge she has
been at in her Sons Apprenticespp This Court did Declare and Admo [..]
Green That noe Artsmaster ought to take any money with their Apprentices
They being putt out by the Charity of this Hospll: And That in case he shall
ever be found faulty in the Like case againe he shall be Expelled the
said Hospll: And Doe Order That the said Christopher Green< no role > Doe for the [..]
returne to the said Ann Hunt< no role > the Fifty shillings he soe unjustly &
contrary to the Order of the said Hospll. reced of her & deliver up to her
her Sons Indenture and Clothes.

All Indres to remain & wth:
the Clerke


And It is further Ordered That for the future all Indentures of
Apprentices bound to Artsmasters in this Hospll: as well that part
of the Indenture under the Boys had as that under the masters
hand be Deposited with and kept by the Clerk of these Hospll. for the
time being betweene the Masters and Servants [..] They being both
undr. the Imediate direccord. of this Court

Also upon the humble Peticon of Robt: Cannon< no role > Citizen and we are
of London who was brought up an Apprentice with Benjn. Harrison< no role >
one of the Artsmasters of the Hospll. of Bridewell and since made a
Freeman of this Citty by the approbacon of this Court And who is sett
up for himselfe in the Trade of a weaver (as he Alleadgeth) att the house
of Mrs. Whitehead over against the Hedghegg in Skynners Street without
Byshoppsgate For some part of Mr. Locks gift the better to enable her
to Fellow and carry on his sd. Trade It is Ordered by this Court [..]
Andrew Willow< no role > Esqr. Jno. Drigue< no role > Esqr: Mr. Smith & Mr. Slater (Foure of
the Governors of these Hosplls.) or any two of them Be Desired to make
Enquiry of the sd. Robt. Cannon whether he be soe sett up in his said
Trade and of his Hopefullnesse the rein and to make Report thereof to
the next Court.

and Mr. Francis Smith< no role > Grocer (Two of the Governers of these Hosplls:)
That upon Enquiry They Doe find that John Pearse< no role > Citizen and
Tallow Chandler of London who served his Apprenticespp with wit [..]
Smith Hempdresser one of the Artsmasters of the Hospll: of Bridewell
and is Since made a Freeman of this Citty by the Approbacon of this
Court Is Sett up for himselfe in the Trade of an Hempdresser And hath
the Report amongst his Neighbourhood of a Good husband and an
honest Sober Man And That he hath taken an house in Old Bethlem
and worketh on his owne Stock It is ordered [..] by this Court That Mr. Trear
doe give & pay unto him Tenne pounds of the profitts of Mr. Locks Gift To be
allowed Mr. Trear in his next Account
