the Fifth Day of October in the Seventeenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord GEORGE the Second, King of Great-Britain, France, and Ireland, Defender of the Faith:

and other their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the
County Liberty aforesaid; and also, to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdeeds
committed in the sameCounty Liberty

WHEREAS at the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace held at the Court House near Westmr. Hall [..]
in and for theCounty Liberty aforesaid, on Wednesday the fifth Day of October in the
Year of our Lord 1743, being the first General Quarter Sessions, of the Peace held for thisCounty, Liberty after the
24th Day of June 1743, the Keeper of the Gatehouse Prison in
thisCounty, Liberty did deliver to the Justices, assembled at the said Sessions, and Subscribed in open Court, a Lift in Writing,
which he there declared before them, upon his Oath, to be a true, exact, perfect, and just Lift of all such Persons as were
truly Prisoners in the said Goal or Prison of the Gatehouse on the first Day of January 1742,
at the Suit or Suits of the several Persons therein respectively mentioned; which Lift doth mention the Time when such Prisoner
or Prisoners were charged in Custody; and did take and Subscribe the Oath prescribed by a late Act of Parliament, made in the
Sixteenth Year of his present Majesty's Reign, Intitled, An An for the Relief of Insolvent Debtors: And forasmuch
as John Stiles< no role > whose Name was inserted in the said Lift, being in Custody in
the Goal or Prison aforesaid, at the Suit of George Hall< no role > and Whereas the said George Hall< no role > the Ptt
Did give & leave noticeinwriting with the Deft John Stiles< no role > Comanding the sd Deft John
Stiles to appear before the Justices at their next General or Quarter Sessions of the peace
to be held for the sd City & Liberty of Westmr or the adjornment thereof which should next
happen after thirty dayes from the publication thereof in order to deliver in upon oath &
subscribe a Schedule of the Estate & Effects of the sd John Stiles< no role > and that his other Creditors [..]
might come in for their distributive share pursuant to the late Statute to made for Releif for Insolvent
Debtors
did PetitionOne of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace of the said County, the
Day oflast past, to grant a Warrant under his Hand and Seal, to require the Keeper of the said
Prison to bring h the said Prisoner before the Justices at this present GeneralSessions, together with the
Warrant to h Detainer, and a Copy of the Cause or Causes h was charged with, and also left a true Copy of h
Schedule, with the said Justice, as the said Act directs. Whereupon the said Justice, by Warrant under his Hand and Seal,
bearing Date theDay oflast, did require the Keeper of the said Prisons, to bring
the Body of the said Prisoner to this Court, this present Sessions, together with the Warrant of h Detainer, and a Copy
of the Cause with which h stood charged in Custody as aforesaid; and also gave a Writing importing Notice to all
the Creditors of the said Prisoner, under his Hand and Seal, that he had granted such Warrent, and that the said Prisoner had
petitioned to be Discharged Now forasmuch as the Keeper of the said Prison hath this Day brought into Court the
Body of the said Prisoner, together with a Copy of the cause h e stood charged with, and it having been now made
appear upon Oath, That due Notice of the said Summons or Writing [..]
