The Information of Bodenham Rewse< no role > This name instance is in set 2761. of the Parish of
St. Andrew Holbourn , in the County of Middx embroyderer
taken upon oath before me, this 13th: day of January 1699
This Informt: saith, that he having a warrant under the
hand and Seal of Isaac Newton< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. Esqr , to apprehend the
body of Cecilia Labree< no role > , he did thereupon apprehend her,
and serch her lodging and in her Custody did find one
Counterfit half crown; and upon yt she did Confess, yt
she with one Jane Biggs< no role > (now prisoner in newgate ) did
severall times within 3 months last past Counterfit the Currant Coin of this
Kingdom, at the house of one David Jacobs< no role > Chocolat
Maker in Rose Ally in Dukes place ; and yt they did
take a Garrat in the Same house under presence of
Making paint; but yt they designed also to make
Counterfit money in it, and this informt: farther
saith, yt yr was found in the Cellar, in the house at
Pudler dock (where the said Cecilia Labree< no role > , did now lodge)
Severall Counterfit half crowns unfinished, and a
Melting pott, file, and Mettall, which are used in such
practices; and the said Labree did farther Confess yt
she with the said Biggs did make the same Coun-
terfitt money; and yt she the said Labree did farther
say, yt the same Counterfit money and tasks, and
Mettall, was there hid by her self under the afairs
of the said Cellar, and further this informt: saith
not.
