Acquainted the Gent. of the
Great Increase of ye. Poor

Mr. Church Warden Scullard Acquainted the Gentlemen
present That this Vestry was Summoned to lay before them
the Great Increase of the Poor of this Parish, and to consider
of Ways and Means for their better Provision & Maintainance
and for the Ease of the Parish.

A List of the Parish Pentioners
laid before the Vestry

Ordered that the List of the Parish Pentioners be now laid
before the Vestry, and the Same was brought up to the
Table to be perused by the Parishioners present.

Moved that ye. C: Wardens Etc.
be Empowered to send such
of ye. Parish Pentioners to ye.
Work house allowing for
their Maintainance a Sum
not exceeding 3s. P Week
(Exclusive of Cloths & Physick)

Then Mr. Jasper Mauduitt< no role > moved that the Church Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor may be empowered by this Vestry
to send such of the Parish Pentioners to the Workhouse as
they shall think fitt from time to time, the Parish paying
and Allowing for their Maintainance a Sum not
exceeding three Shillings P Week for each Pentioner
(exclusive of Cloths and Physick) and after some Debate
the Question was putt on Mr. Mauduitts Motion and
carried in the Affirmative.

ordered accordingly

Ordered that the Church Wardens and Overseers of Poors
be empowered to Send such of the Parish Pentioners to the
Workhouse as they shall think fitt from time to time at
an Allowance of Three Shillings P Week for the Maintainance
