The Examination of Elizabeth Dennes< no role >
Singlewoman taken on oath before me one of
his Majesties Justices of ye peace for ye county
of Middx residing in or Near the Parish of St.
Botolph without Aldgate in the County of
Middx this 7th day of April 1755

This Examinant on her oath says that about
six Months ago & one William Meekings< no role >
a Carman who then kept a house in Slaters
Court in Blue Anchor yard in the parish of
St. Mary White chappell in ye sd. County did
prevail with this Examinant to suffer him to lye
with her at his sd. house where this Examinant
then lived And the sd. William Meekings< no role > had
Carnal knowledge of this Examinants body
& so had several times whereby she Conceived with
Child or Children of which she now goeth &
is Pregnant And this Exaicon. saith that
the sd Child or Children of which she now
goeth with & is pregnant as aforesaid
is or are likely to be born a Bastard or
