Examination Text | Mary Monk aged 25 Years removed from St Mary Lambeth upon Oath saith that she is the Wife of James Monk ( gone from her ) to she was Married at the Parish Church of Saint Paul Covent Garden in January 1792 that her said Husband served and Apprenticeship to his ffather Samuel Monk Coachmaker who worked for Mr Hatchet in long Acre & lived in & rented a House No 23 in Martlet Court in the Parish of St. Martin in the ffields for the space of Two Years & upwards at the Yearly Rent of Thirty Pounds and died in the Occupation of the same in June 1792 & that her said Husband resided with its ffather until he died since which her said Husband hath not rented Ten Pounds by the Year not done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement , that she hath one Child by her said Husband to wit Charles Born December the 16th 1792 & is now pregnant.
