Examination TextAnn Johnson aged 55 years lodging at Mrs White's a Rag Shop in that part of Rose Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Edward Johnson (who died two years ago) to whom she was married at the Hospital Church in the city of Norwich in the year 1740, that her said husband was a Cordwainer by trade and lived in and rented an house in Vine Street in the Parish aforesaid for the space of three years at the yearly rent of 11 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same 20 years ago, that her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes afterwards, nor hath she this Examinant nor been a yearly hired servant since the death of her said husband. Sworn the seventh Day of February 1765 before Benjamin Cox.
