Examination TextMary Bentley aged about 14 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields on her oath saith that she was by the officers of the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid bound an apprentice by an indenture untill she should attain the age of 21 years bearing the date the 12th Day of March in the year 1783 to Hector McLeish of Holland Street in the Parish of St Anne within the liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex, Painter, and there she served her said master for the space of six months, and then her said Master removed to the house of Mr Henderside No.1 in Johnson's Court Fleet Street in the Parish of St Dunstan in the West in the City of London, and she this deponent with him, and there served her said master for the space of four months longer, and then her master's wife turned her out of doors which is about one month ago. Sworn the 19th Day of February 1784 before Thomas Bullard, J. Hale.
