Examination Text | John Scott aged 60 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he is a Stay Maker by trade and lived in and rented an house near Drury Lane in Long Acre in the Parish aforesaid for the space of 22 months at the yearly rent of 40 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same 10 years ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 16th Day of January 1783 before William Hyde. |
