Examination TextJane Jewell aged about 22 Years at the Spring Gardens Coffee House in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith That she is the Wife of Samuel Jewell (gone from her about ten Weeks ago) to whom she was married at the parish Church of St Mary le strand the 28th Day of March last, That her said husband was bound an apprentice by an Indenture for seven years to Mr. Thomas Harris, Coffee-house keeper at the sign of the Cannon in Cock Spur Street in the said parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served his said Master about three years and an half, and then he ran away, That she is now pregnant by her said Husband. Sworn the 21st Day of Jany. 1781, Before William Hyde.
