Examination TextCity and Liberty of Westminster } towit The Examination of Jane Smith Singlewoman taken upon Oath this thirty first Day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty five Who upon her Oath Saith that she is upwards of nineteen years old that she never was marryed that on Saturday the twenty fifth Day of October instant she was delivered of a male bastard child in the Workhouse of and in the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields in the said Liberty of Westmr which is become chargeable to the said Parish and also Saith that one Ignatius Conran a Linnen Draper now or lately living in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid had on aabout the month of February last past the Carnal Knowledge of her Body at the House of one Mrs Janty in Dunbar Court in White Horse Yard in the Parish of St Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex and several Times afterwards at the same Place at which or one of which Times he begot on her Body the said male Bastard Child And further saith that he the said Ignatius Conran is the true and only ffather thereof and no man else Sworn the Day and Year abovewritten Before Ed Galloway Thos Deveil The mark of Jane Smith
