This Indenture Wittnesseth that John Francis< no role > & Lancelott Copleston< no role > Churchwds
Hugh Mills< no role > Francis Morlye< no role > Wm. Lawrence< no role > & John Seywell< no role > Overseeres of the poore of the
Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx with thassent of John Phellipps< no role >
and Peter Lugg< no role > Esqrs Justices of the peace for the County of Middx & Citty & Libty of Westmr
according to to statute in that Case made and provided Have putt Margarett Jones< no role >
an Apprentice to Elizabeth Symonds< no role > and with her after the manner of an
Apprentice to dwell and serve from the date of the date here of unto the full
end and terme of Eight yeares from thence next ensueing and fully to be compleat
and ended Dureing all which said terme wee the Churchwardens & Overseeres of ye
Poore with thassent aforesaid Doe Order and appoint that the said Margaret Jones< no role >
well and faithfully shall serve her secreets Keepe her Commandments lawfull
and honest every where shall gladly doe hurt to her said mistresse she shall not
doe or consent to be done of others but shall present it if she may or else
from time to time admonish her thereof the goods of her said mistresse she shall
not wast nor them to any body lend without her consent neither from her service
by day or night shall not absent her selfe But in all things as a good & faithfull
servant ought to doe shall behave hereselfe towards her said Mistresse & all hers
dureing the said terme of Eight yeares Taverns or Alehouses she shall
not frequent unlesse it be about her Mar. bussinesse there to be done at Cards
Dice or any other Unlawfull games she shall not play where by her Mrs. may receive
any prejudice: Fornication she shall not Committ Martrimony dureing the sd
terme she shall not contract And the said Elizabeth Symmonds< no role > shall teach and
instruct or cause to be taught and instructed her said Apprentice in the Trade
of a Sempstresse which she now useth according to her best skill and knowledge
And the said Elizabeth Symonds< no role > shall give and find to her said Apprentice
sufficient meate drinke washing Lodging Apparrell Linnen & all necessaryes
meete and convenient for such an Apprentice dureing the said terme and for
the true performance of all the sd Articles informe aforesaid to be kept the
said parties fine themselves each to other by these presents In Wittnesse
where of the said parties to these present Indentures interchangeably have
sett theire hands and seales this eleaventh day of March Anno R Rs
