the paymt: of £400 on the 18th of October next Ensueing
wth Interest after the rate of £5: P Cente P Ann Unto
John Chetwyn< no role > of the Pish of St Martins in the Feilds
in the County of Middx Esqr and Wm Jarman< no role > Cittizen
and Distiller of London Executors of the last Will and
Testament of Tho: Askew< no role > Gente deced as by the said Bond
may more fully appeare And whereas the said Sume
of £400 was borrowed and taken up by the aforesaid
Church Wardens Roger Francklyn< no role > & James Deeley< no role >
as aforesd for the benefitt and for the Use and Service
of the said Pish of St Clement Danes and by them the
said Church Wardens disposed off accordingly And whereas
the benefitt and Advantage of the said Bond and of all
the money thereon due is by Assignemt: come unto and
Vested in Edward Bird< no role > of Stafford in the County of Stafford
Gente and his Assignes And whereas the said £400 is still
due and unpaid As Alsoe the Sume of £43:9:9
for Interest due thereon And the said Edward Bird< no role > is
consented to take the Same at such times and in such manner
as the prsent Church Wardens of the said Pish and their
Successors com or may be able to pay the same Now in considracon
of the prmisses And For as much as it plainely appeareth
that the aforesaid £400 is a just Debt contracted and
borrowed for the Use of the Pish and therefore Ought to be
paid Out of the Publicke money belonging to the said Pish
It is this prsent Twentieth day of Septembr Agreed upon &
Ordrd by the Church Wardens Overseers of the Poore &
other the Gentleman and Auntient Inhabitants of the said
Pish of St Clement Danes this day Assembled in Vestry
that the said Edward Bird< no role > have Five pounds
