A Genll- Meeting of Ye Inhitants of Ye Parish Pursuant to an Adjournmt
made 19th- [..] Instant to Consider abt. Erecting a Workhouse

Orders of Ye 19th- Instant Read

The Queon being Proposed whether Ye fron Gateway & ye Watchhouse and
& Engine house comonly called Ye Round house in ye Upper Church Yard
Shall be taken away & An Additionall Building contiguous to that
house wch was comonly called or known by ye Name of the Three Tons
be Erected instead thereof for ye use of Ye intended Workhouse for this
Parish And ye Same was carryed in ye Affirmative Nemine Contradicente
At Ye Sametime Ye sd. fron Gate was Ordered to be putup in some convenient
Place in Ye Dead Wall of Ye Upper Church Yard

At Ye Sametime Ordered that Ye House Standing in & Over Ye Passage in St.
Clemts- Lane Entring into Ye Upper Church Yard be Applyed for a Round
house or Watch house for Ye Use of Ye Parish and that Ye Enginehouse
be made in another Proper Place

Resolved that Ye house by Ye Upper Church Yard Called or knowne by ye name
of ye Three Tons shall be amended & repaired as part of ye sd. intended
Work house for this Parish

Ordered yt ye Church Wardens Doe as Soon as may be put in an Advertisemt
to Encourege Workmen to bring in their Proposalls for repairing and
Erecting ye sd. intended Workhouse
Adjourned this Genll- Vestry to this any 4t night at three in ye afternoon
and Ye Notice of this Adjournemt. be declared in ye
Church ye next Sunday both in Ye Morning and in
the Afternoon
