Whereas it has been represented unto us by John Beazley< no role > John Bitchfield< no role >
John Furse< no role > John Waggett< no role > & Wm. Allen< no role > Overseers of the Poor of the Pish of
St. Clemts. Danes & others the Inhabitants thereof That the Poor of the said
Parish is very Numerous & doth dayly increase by persons takeing in and
harbouring of Vagrants & Inmates whereby abandante of Casuall Poor
togeather with lower Women who have been delivered of Bastard Children
have become chargeable thereto And For as much as the sd. Overseers & other
the Inhabitants have made applicacon to us whose hands & Baby are hereunto [..]
[..] Nintyes Justices of the Peace for the sd. County & City ( [..] ) Inhabiteing in
or near the Lymitts of the Parish Church of the Parish of St. Clemts. Danes aforesd.
to appoint them a Warden or Assistant and other the neighbouring Parishes to give
Notice to them of such people who have intruded themselves into the sd. Pish in-
Ordr. for their being passed to their respective settlemt. whereby Laws they ought to
be Seat & the Overseers & other the Inhabitants being desirous to have Xtofer Greenwood< no role >
for their warden or assistant have presented him unto us for our approbacon
he haveing two Children & being an Antient Inhabitant & haveing fined for all
offices in the sd. Pish (Churchwarden Excepted) we doe allow & approve of
the sd. Xtofer Greenwood< no role > to be their Warden or assistant Given undr-are
hands & feales this 15th. day of December 1718.
