of his Office and obtained a Verdict against said Launder
but he being insolvent and now absconded whereby said
Mr. Beaty cannot recover part of the Costs amounting to
Six Pounds,

A Motion made and the Question put
whether said Mr. Beaty be paid the same out of the
Poor's Rate by the present Overseers of the Poor.

Carried in the Affirmative Nem:Con:

Resolved that said Mr. Beaty be paid the said Sum
of £6 by the present Overseers of the Poor.

Resolved Nem: Con: that it remain a Standing
Order of this Vestry that if in future any Overseer or
Overseers of the Poor of this Parish defend any Action
at Law brought against them or any or either of them
for any thing done or committed in the Execution of their
Office without being first indemnified by the Vestry
that they pay the Expences of defending such Action
on their own Account.
