the 23d. Inst was Read and was as follows
Your Committee have considered the
Subjects referred to them and are of
Opinion that the following Resolutions.
if adopted by the Inhabitants will be
Productive of good Effects
First
That if, such Persons as have the Ability
to procure variety of Food will Refrain from
the Consumption of certain necessary
Articles till the present high Prices

[..] shall be reduced it may tend
to effect such reduction and will have a
larger Quantity for the supply of the
Poor
Secondly.
That they will not allow or permit any
Bread that has not been kept 24 hours after it
has been delivered by the Baker to be used and
that they will restrain the Consumption as much as in their Power in their Respective Families
Thirdly
That they will not permit Flour to be
used in pastry of any kind in their Houses.
Fourthly.
That they will diminish the use
of Butter Cheese and Meat as much as
