County Rate

It was Stated to Vestry that a Petition
had been Signed by several Parishes for equalizing
the County Rate

Moved by Mr. Howell
Seconded by Mr. Richards

That this Parish do Join in the Application now
making to Parliament to Equalize the County Rate
and in the Proportion of Expences Attendant thereon
according to this Rental which this Parish is Charged
to the said Rate, and Ordered that the Vestry Clerk as
Agent for the Parish be directed and empowered to
Join in the Prosecution of such Application,

It being also Reported to the Vestry That a
Petition had been presented to Parliament by
several Parishes against the Bill now depending
"for the better Support and maintenance of the
Poor"
