This being a Meeting to receive Proposals for
supplying the Poor in the Workhouse with Coals.

The following Proposals were received and read

Mr. Thomas English< no role > proposed "To deliver 60
Chaldrons at the Workhouse @ 57s. per Cha: and 20 Cha:
to the Poor free of expence @ 58s. per Chaldron"

Mr. Godfrey offered to supply with the 80
Chaldrons of Heaton Main Coals according to condition
and directions at 58s. per Chaldron

Messrs. Soulsby, Allison & Co. proposed to supply
with 80 Chaldrons of Heaton main Coals at 57s.
per Chaldron including all expences - 60 Chaldrons
pool measure to be delivered forthwith to the Workhouse
by certificate and the remaining 20 Chaldrons to be
delivered to the Poor on St. Thomas' day, next at the
